Essex Christmas Tree Recycling in Aid of Farleigh Hospice
We’ll admit that our lorries tend to be lugging furniture as opposed to logs, but this year we’re delighted to say that we’ll once again be branching out (pun intended) into Christmas Tree removals, in aid of Farleigh Hospice.
Yes, for the third year in a row our Millie will be heading to homes throughout Chelmsford, joined by dedicated volunteers from the Reliable team, to pick up your trees and take them for recycling. Tis the season of goodwill and all, so we’re delighted to be part of this fantastic event to raise money for Farleigh Hospice.
Now in its third year, the Christmas Tree Recycling campaign has been a fantastic success in previous years for Farleigh. In 2016 they collected 613 trees and raised over £4,900 in the process! This year our team, along with other local businesses, will be heading out over the weekend of the 7th and 8th January, working from dawn ‘til dusk to harvest trees from the streets of Chelmsford. The trees will be shredded and used in local parks or as fuel at power stations.
If you would like to register for your tree to be collected, head to the Farleigh Hospice website and enter your details and donation before 12 noon on the 5th of January. There is a suggested minimum donation of £5 for the pick-up and recycling of your tree, all of which will go towards allowing Farleigh Hospice to provide specialist care to patients and their families in times of need.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Reliable!
